Dear Oriental Medicine Practitioner,
If you’re serious about your practice, you know that it’s important to have support. You know that it’s difficult to stay up-to-date when you’re practicing by yourself. The VAAOM is dedicated to meeting your needs. Here’s what we’re doing for you:
Bringing world class CEU opportunities to you. Sometimes it’s nice to travel. But sometimes it’s nice to bring the best to you. We’ve sponsored CEU events to bring world class teachers like Giovanni Maciocia and Peter Deadman to you!
Hosting practical Grand Round events. These are convenient opportunities to meet and learn what your local colleagues are doing - what works and what doesn’t from local clinicians. It’s not only practical – it’s fun!
Educating the public and the policy makers. As the people in Vermont receive accurate and articulate information about Oriental Medicine, everyone wins! Patients learn that they have options. Practitioners become more prosperous. Policy makers make better decisions. Our communities grow healthier.
Advocating your interests in Montpelier. There are threats to your practice. Decisions are made each year affecting your scope of practice, the ability of other professions to use acupuncture and herbs, how many patients get access to your care, etc. No one else is looking out for you in Vermont. The VAAOM is.
Keeping you up-to-date. Times change. And standards of practice change too. This is true with regards to insurance billing, standards of professional and ethical conduct, charting, legal requirements, etc. Pleading ignorance won’t protect you if you run into trouble. We’d like to provide you with the professional resources you need to run a “clean” and healthy practice.
If you’re not already a member, please join us. If you’ve never volunteered or attended one of our events, please do so. Your investment will be returned a hundred times over,
Best Wishes for Prosperity and Health,
Molly Beverage, L.Ac.
